Hi all, its the first of May (Happy May Day!) and so another watercolour challenge starts over at the Happy Little Stampers challenge blog and as usual its an “Anything Goes” challenge but with an optional theme of “Emboss”.I decided to do a card with the gorgeous 3d embossing folder “Peony Corner” by Crafters Companion, but first colouring the inside of the embossing folder using the Aqua markers from Spectrum Noir. I then sprayed it lightly with some water and ran the embossing folder, with my card in it, through my new electric Gemini machine. This embossing folder is truly gorgeous ad gives an amazing raised effect on the card. I splattered some paint some the card and then stamped the sentiment, from So Suzy stamps, using the black waterproof resistant ink from Spectrum Noir too. This card didn’t take me more than 10 minutes to make, but yet gives a beautiful effect, don’t you think?
Well I hope you liked my card and that it has inspired you to join in our watercolour challenge. I look forward to seeing your wonderful creations in the link-up here. Please hop over to my fellow teammates’ blogs to give them some love too.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, doing something you love!
Hi all! Its the 1st of February in Aussieland and so another challenge starts at Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge. This month, we want to see some bling on your creations but you’re more than welcome to play with just your watercolours. You have until the end of the month to share your creations with us and I look forward to seeing them in the link-up here.As its the month of LOVE, I wanted to make a Valentine’s day card for a dear friend who’s newly single, to remind her that she is loved. I love all the friendship sentiments that come in this stamp set by Crafters Companion and I wanted it to take centre stage. So I embossed it with 2 different colour powders from Wow embossing powder and then framed it with some sparkling watercolours from Spectrum Noir and the Contemporary Lace embossing folder from Crafters Companion. I wish you could see the sparkle on my card! Here’s a little video showing you the sparkle on my card! Isn’t it awesome?
Anyway, I hope you’ve been inspired to create a card for our challenge and I can’t wait to see what you’ve done! Do stop over at my teammies blogs to leave them some love too. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day doing something you love!
I’m also sharing this over at:

Hi all! Its the 1st of the month (and Wow! We’re already halfway through the year!) and another Anything Goes challenge starts over at the “Happy Little Stampers Watercolour”challenge blog. This month our optional theme is “Love” so if you like you can add a Love theme to your projects.I used one of my new 3D embossing folders I got over at Crafters Companion called Rose Bouquet and coloured it with Aqua and Aquatint, my water-based markers, on 300g watercolour paper, both from Spectrum Noir too. The definition of the embossing folder on paper is incredible as you can see below.Watercolouring the image was really easy as I just drew on or in the grooves created by the 3d embossing folder and spread the paint with my water brush, as shown below.
Once I finished painting my image, I stamped in the sentiment from Altenew with Spectrum Noir’s Finesse waterproof black ink and cut down my watercolour panel with My Favorite Things scalloped rectangle die. I tried to show the 3d effect of the embossing folder in my photos but it’s not easy to see, but irl its pretty amazing!Well I hope you’ve been inspired to join in our Watercolour challenge, which will end on 30th June, so you have plenty pf time to… MAKE LOTS! I look forward to seeing them in our challenge link up. Don’t forget to pop over to the blog to see the other wonderful watercolour projects by my amazing teammies!
Have a really good weekend, doing things just for you! Thanks for stopping by!
