Hi all! It’s the first of September so time for another challenge over at the Merry Little Christmas challenge blog where the theme is “Anything Goes” with any crafty medium! You can create a card, like I did, do a scrapbooking page, journalling, house deco…as long as it’s Christmas themed.
My card was made in a minute as I used pieces that I found while clearing out my craft room to make room for another desk for my daughter. At their age, all my teenage kids want to do is to go out and see their friends, so I have to make it more interesting for them to stay home! As I know she loves drawing and painting, I thought it would be nice if we could do it together.
So I recycled a desk that belonged to my eldest son, which I used for my 2nd son, and now it’s for my daughter, so this cheap Ikea desk is now 22 years old!! I wish it was a much nicer desk so that I could call it a family heirloom. It’s now in a corner of my craft room so we can craft together! (All the art supplies in her drawer are my surplus art material…)
Anyway, back to my card, as mentioned, I found pieces of it in my piles of paper and just had to stamp the sentiment from Crafters Companion, and my card was done! The 3D embossing folder I used to emboss a red card stock is also from Crafters Companion, but I can’t remember where the diecut is from. I painted it with metallic pens from Spectrum Noir and I wish you could see the shine!
Well I hope you were inspired by my card to create something for Christmas and I look forward to seeing it in the link up here. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, doing something you love!

Hi all! Its the 1st of February in Aussieland and so another challenge starts at Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge. This month, we want to see some bling on your creations but you’re more than welcome to play with just your watercolours. You have until the end of the month to share your creations with us and I look forward to seeing them in the link-up here.As its the month of LOVE, I wanted to make a Valentine’s day card for a dear friend who’s newly single, to remind her that she is loved. I love all the friendship sentiments that come in this stamp set by Crafters Companion and I wanted it to take centre stage. So I embossed it with 2 different colour powders from Wow embossing powder and then framed it with some sparkling watercolours from Spectrum Noir and the Contemporary Lace embossing folder from Crafters Companion. I wish you could see the sparkle on my card! Here’s a little video showing you the sparkle on my card! Isn’t it awesome?
Anyway, I hope you’ve been inspired to create a card for our challenge and I can’t wait to see what you’ve done! Do stop over at my teammies blogs to leave them some love too. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day doing something you love!
Hi all, I’m here today to share two cards I made using trending colour combinations of 2020. This will be a series I hope to continue throughout 2020, so if you don’t want to miss out, do subscribe to my blog! For these two cards, I used the Spring Garden embossing folder and sentiment stamps and dies from Crafters Companion and ink pads by Spectrum Noir. If you would like to see a step by step tutorial on how I made these cards, please go on to the Spectrum Noir Facebook community photo album page here.
To get these colour combinations on my cards, I was sooo inspired by this article from Canva called “10 trending Color combination of 2020”. I love all the colours which are supposed to be trending this year (that teal!!!) so I pinned this article onto my bookmarks bar and I will be referring to it quite often when I make my cards!
Well I hope you liked my cards, what do you think of the colours? Which is your favourite card?
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day doing something you love!
Hi all! Its the 1st day of the last month of the year!!! Can you believe that? Already!! It’s also our last challenge of the year over at Happy Little Stampers. As always its “Anything Goes” but with an optional theme of Christmas so if, like me, you haven’t started on your Christmas cards, its a good opportunity to get crackin’!This card was relatively easy to do. I first created the blue watercolour border and once it was dry, I stamped in the sentiment from Clearly Besotted and added my die cuts from Crafters Companion which come from one double-sided die! Yes, each die has two cutting sides, so you get 2 different patterns with just one pass through your die-cutting machine!
Well, I hope you were inspired by my card to join in our challenge. I look forward to seeing your wonderful creations in the link-up.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great December & Happy Holidays!

Hi all! Its Wednesday, so another challenge starts over at Addicted to Stamps and More and the theme for this month is CAS -clean and simple, meaning lots of empty space on your card!I decided to go for an Autumn themed card as I just love the colours of the falling gold and yellow leaves everywhere. I used the stamp from Crafter’s Companion and did a watercolour resist with my Spectrum Noir water-reactive inks, on part of the stamped image. Which means I first heat embossed the stamped images and then watercoloured over them so that the embossed image will stand out as the colour just washes over it and doesn’t stay. The diecut flower was cut from a piece of paper coloured with the same inks pads and cut with a Sizzix die. The “Thanks” sentiment from Stamplorations was diecut from white card stock.
Well, I hope you liked my card and that it will inspire you to join in our challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More! Don’t forget to stop by my fellow teammates’ blogs to leave them some love too!
