Hi all, I’m back today for the first of three posts! Yes three! That’s what happens when all the design teams you’re on have their posts scheduled for the same day by coincidence! So I hope my cards will be different enough to overcome the over-blogging I have to do today!
My first card is for our “Holiday” theme over at the Addicted to Stamps and More challenge blog and I decided to make my first Christmas card of the year. Yes, a little late but I’m not known to be early… 😉 I used a stamp from Pink and Main’s Christmas Mugs set, which really have such cute mugs stamps for Xmas, and coloured it with my Faber Castell PITT artist pens. I then masked it and stamped Pinkfresh Studio’s little mistletoe stamp from their December Days stamp set to llok like the mug was nesting on a bed of mistletoes.
To create a real feeling of whipped cream on the hot chocolate, (which I am not allowed being lactose intolerant) I used my Nuvo Crystal drop and when it was dry, coloured brown dots to resemble chocolate chips! The sentiment is one of the really great “Christmas Verses” set from Pink and Main too & I decorated it with little stamps from Pinkfresh Studio’s “December Days”. To finish, I cut the edges of the panel with my craft scissors, as I couldn’t used a die on it because of me “whipped cream”, and adhered it to my red card base.
Well I hope you’ll be inspired to join us at our “Holiday” challenge with your festive cards and I look forward to seeing them in the link up! Thanks for popping by and have a great day!
Hugs,
