3d Rose Bouquet card

Cards, Happy Little Stampers, spectrum noir aqua markers, Watercolor

June 2019 WC.pngHi all! Its the 1st of the month (and Wow! We’re already halfway through the year!) and another Anything Goes challenge starts over at the “Happy Little Stampers Watercolour”challenge blog. This month our optional theme is “Love” so if you like you can add a Love theme to your projects.3d rose bouquet productsI used one of my new 3D embossing folders I got over at Crafters Companion called Rose Bouquet and coloured it with Aqua and Aquatint, my water-based markers, on 300g watercolour paper, both from Spectrum Noir too. The definition of the embossing folder on paper is incredible as you can see below.3d rose bouquet embossing folderWatercolouring the image was really easy as I just drew on or in the grooves created by the 3d embossing folder and spread the paint with my water brush, as shown below.

Once I finished painting my image, I stamped in the sentiment from Altenew with Spectrum Noir’s Finesse waterproof black ink and cut down my watercolour panel with My Favorite Things scalloped rectangle die. I tried to show the 3d effect of the embossing folder in my photos but it’s not easy to see, but irl its pretty amazing!3d rose bouquet ccu.jpgWell I hope you’ve been inspired to join in our Watercolour challenge, which will end on 30th June, so you have plenty pf time to… MAKE LOTS! I look forward to seeing them in our challenge link up. Don’t forget to pop over to the blog to see the other wonderful watercolour projects by my amazing teammies!

Have a really good weekend, doing things just for you! Thanks for stopping by!

Addicted to stamps

Its time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and this week’s theme is “CAS”. You have until Tuesday 10pm Australian Eastern time to link up your Clean and Simple cards with us.

Foil flowers

I made a very quick & simple card following the tips from Altenew Academy’s “Clean and Simple Boutique Cards” course, which I am taking as part of my Altenew Educator Certification Program and I gave myself the challenge to finish the first 2 levels by the end of August! So far I have finished 9 courses and I have 11 more to go!

To make this card I simply stamped these flowers from Altenew called “One of a Kind”, using Deco Craft’s Transfer gel from iCraft. I let it dry and then created a sandwich with my card, the foil, parchment paper and a folded card and put it through my laminator. You can see Gina K’s video on using Transfer gel to do foiling. Don’t you just love the shine on the flowers? I coloured afew petals with my Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens & to finish, stamped the sentiment on vellum with Stazon black ink and adhered it onto the card with Scrap Perfect’s “Best Glue Ever”.

Well I hope you like my card and that you’ll pop over to the Addicted to Stamps and More challenge blog to visit the CAS cards my team mates made just to inspire you to join our challenge. Looking forward to seeing your creations in the link up!

Have a great day!
