a2z Scrapbooking, Cards, Watercolor

challengebadgemarch19

Hi all, I’m over at the a2z Scrapbooking blog today, for the last time, to inspire you to join us in this month’s challenge. Yes, I am leaving the design team of a2z, to go on to other projects but I want to thank all my fellow DTs, especially Cindy,  for all their kindness and support. They are a great team to design with and I will miss them.

For my last post for them, I wanted to make something special and use an old Hero Arts stamp, called Poppy Background, and give it a fresh look. So do pop on over to see how I created my project!

I hope it will inspire you to join in our challenge, with any projects you have coloured with pens, markers, pencils, paints…. The winner, chosen by random draw, will receive his/her choice of 1 digital set from the a2z Scrapbooking store. In addition, if the winner used Hero Arts or Sugartree Stamps as the main focal point of their project, they will receive a $20 gift card to the store. I look forward to seeing in the challenge gallery!

Thanks for dropping by and have a great day!

Hang in There

a2z scrapbooking march challenge

Hi all! I’m here to share a card I made for our new challenge over at the a2z Scrapbooking blog, and this month we are asking you to “Color It In”, so bring out your favourite colouring mediums and show us your wonderful creations! You might just be a winner of a digi stamp, or if you have used any Sugartree or Hero Arts products, the prize is a $20 voucher to the a2z Scrapbooking store!

So guess which favourite colouring medium I used on my card today? Well for those who follow me here or on Instagram, you would know by now that my favourite colouring medium is my watercolours! You know they say that watercolour is the most difficult colouring medium? I guess its because its so hard to control, but that’s why I like it, even though I try my best to control it, instead of just letting it flow, but I do love a challenge!

For today’s card, I used the Hero Arts Hang In There Potted Plants stamp set that was part of Hero Arts’s new releases from their 2019 catalogue, which I coloured with my Daniel Smith’s watercolours. For the background, I used the Hero Arts Spiral Petals stencil, which I placed over my card base, sprinkled Turquoise Brushos powder over it, sprayed it with water and let it dry. I cut my potted plants using my Brother Scan and Cut and adhered it to my now dried background. The sentiments come from the same stamp set and also from Hero Arts Hydrangea stamp set. I was lucky they were the same font!
