Happy Little Stampers – Botanical

Cards, Happy Little Stampers, Watercolor

October 2019 WC.pngHi all! Its the 1st of the month so another watercolour stamping challenge has started over at Happy Little Stampers and our theme is as always “Anything Goes” with an option and this month’s option is “Botanicals”!October calendarI was so happy when I saw the theme for this month as I love botanicals, which by the way means anything plant-related so not just florals. It was also an excellent theme for October in my hand-made calendar. I used my watercolour markers from Spectrum Noir called Aqua on 300g watercolour paper. I started by first drawing a circle where I wanted to put my Autumn wreath and chose the colours I wanted to use. October calendar product.jpgThe stamps I watercoloured comes from Crafters Companions Crocus Collection and I just inked up parts of the stamps I wanted,  using Spectrum Noir water-reactive inks and stamped them around my circle before colouring them with my Aqua markers. To finish I added little spots of black in clusters using the black Aqua marker.October calendar midWell I hope you’ve been inspired to join in our watercolour challenge and I look forward to seeing your beautiful creation in the link-up!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

  1. Like you , I love all things botanical, too, Gwendolyn! Your watercoloured wreath is stunning with gorgeous colour choices, colouring and design! Using your creations on a calendar is a super idea, so you can get to appreciate all the work you’ve done! Would make a great present! (maybe just one image for the whole year !!!) 🙂
