Hi all! I’m so excited to announce that I’m now on the Happy Little Stampers Watercolour challenge design team! Most of you already know that I love using watercolours to colour my cards, so being on this team is just amazing for me! I am also very lucky to be able to design among such talented watercolourist in this team.

The challenge each month is “Anything Goes”, using watercolour of course, with an optional twist, and the twist for April is “Bright”. I’m making watercolour coasters at the moment so I’m sharing one I made for this challenge using the beautiful poppies from The Ton. I painted clear gesso over the thick paper pulp coaster before doing a no-line water-colouring on it and then sprayed it with transparent gloss varnish once it dried so that it would be water resistant and keep its colour.

I hope I’ve inspired you to create something with your stamps using watercolours too and I look forward to seeing them in the challenge gallery at Happy Little Stampers! Have a great start to the week!

  1. How lucky we are to have you as a member of our Happy Family’ Gwendolyn. I know I have always been in awe of your colouring skills and now we have you sharing with us every month. Such a beautiful and bright coaster. Stunning and too nice to cover up for long. Better drink that coffee quickly!

  2. We are so glad Gwendolyn that you joined our team. Ina was right saying that you are a wonderful colorist. Your maki are so luminous that they perfectly convey the theme of the challenge. A great design.
