After a making a bunch of CAS (clean and simple) cards, I suddenly got the urge to make a card completely different than what I’m used to, but which I love seeing other talented card makers create. This was inspired by many sources. Firstly a random image in a magazine, Vivien‘s beautiful card in The Flower Challenge, and Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge to frame it.
I used a new stamp set I received last week from “The Ton” called Sending peonies. I tried to do no line water colouring on it, but it wasn’t that easy as my lightly stamped image disappeared once I added the watercolour from my Zigs clean color real brush!
Once the flowers were coloured, I stamped this beautiful sentiment from “Our Daily Bread” with Versafine ink. This card was for a friend’s daughter’s communion, to which I attended yesterday, (in Denmark!) and I thought it was quite appropriate. I used a stencil and Altenew ink to create the blue dots. The frame was cut from a designer paper, that was in the goodie box I received from Simon Says Stamp, for being picked as their random March winner at their Work It Wednesday challenge!

Wow, wow, wow! And yes– I had to give this the Triple Wow! I really love the design you came up with here and how skillfully you blended the patterns. The diagonal-striped frame looks so cool with the way you have your flowers poking out around its edges. What a great lesson in how to make something look dimensional and basically awesome! I really love the colors, too, and those subtle polka dots in the background of the framed-in portion are perfect.
