Since we arrived in Germany 3 years ago, this is the first time I’ve spent the whole summer at home, and I enjoyed every minute of it! The kids were away in Spain for 2 weeks, so I did have a little “holiday” and partied like crazy! 🙂 Once they were back, after the cooking and the cleaning, I still managed to enjoy some lazy summer days in my garden and at the nearby lake.
I wanted to make a card to show how I felt so I tried my hand at making a scenery type card.
I first played with some alcohol inks in green and brown by dropping them on lupo paper and and blowing them with a straw.I had alot of fun! I sponged in the sky with my Ranger mini blending tool and Stampin Up ink. I them stamped the leaves from Hero Arts with my Momento dew drop inks and added a butterfly from my stash. I stamped the flock of birds from Lavinia Stamps and added this sentiment from Newton’s Nook, which really sums up how I feel this summer!
My hubby really liked this card, which surprised me as I don’t think its my best card but that gave me the courage to share it so I hope you enjoyed this short post. Make sure you come back on the 17th for my first ever blog hop as a participant, win some prizes, and all for a good cause!
I entered this card in:
Simon says Wednesday challenge – Lets Go Wild. I think my card is a little savage and untamed!
Simon says Monday challenge too- Summer Fun. Cause this is where I spent my summer, in my garden!
Cards in Envy – Hip to be square card challenge
Just add Ink – Photo inspiration
I think my card reflect the greens and browns in their photo.
Lovely card, the sky is amazing. Thank you so much for joining us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Hugs, Sandra

So pretty – I was wondering if you can stamp on Yupo paper – I tried it, but did not have much success – maybe I used the wrong type of ink….Great card!
PS: I am originally from Germany

Thanks! I guess it helped that there was already some type of ink on the paper when I stamped on it.
